The Family

We are a family of five working together on the project. We have my parents who are Martin and Julie Mansfield, my younger sister Corrie, Me (Sam), my sister Dani helps out occasionally, although she is running her spa in Bequia most of the time. Our builder is Laun Leslie (left) whose company is called Qualcom and a local Bequian himself. Laun has 11 people from his team working on our site.

The builders construct the foundation, shell and walls of the house. They also build and stone any walls that need doing and doo all the block work and put all the steel into the building. We then come in as a family and do all the finishing’s such as the roof, carpentry work, tiling, plumbing, electrical, fittings, roofing etc.

My dad designs all the plans with a computer program called Arcon 3d home designer so we don’t have an architect.

The forman on site is Called Magnus, who keeps the team on track.

The rest of the guys are from Saint Vincent and Bequia, and range from stone masons, carpenters, labourers and land scapers.
